The presented work :

The « Nelson Mandela’s Trophy », the « Viva World Cup TM » Trophy.

The Artist:

This uncommon and deeply humanist sculptor is also the official artist of some heads of state, Ministers, political key figures, National Museums and communities. Gérard Pigault is also highly appreciated among the show business. Gérard and the NF-Board met each other thanks to sport (especially football and Rugby) as he is really keen on it.
Gérard Pigault, who was first blossomed as trade executive in a multinational company, is now living in the Paris area where he dedicates his time to his passion: sculpture. From now on, he stands out with his art, in his Ville Saint Jacques’s workshop, “Art Stones Déco”, and he has realized the famous NF-Board Trophy.

The Trophy :

Further to a vote of the founder members, the trophy was adopted during the NF-Board Constitutive Assembly of December 2003,  in Brussels.
The trophy is officially named “Nelson Mandela’s Trophy” by the Executive Committee during its 10th of June 2005 meeting, to pay tribute to the great figure.
This perfect “monolith” embodies a new trend –inspired by Peoples and Nations who all combine their forces for a same goal: playing their own Football World Cup, the “Viva World Cup”. The Earth has the colour of the sun lighten by Nelson Mandela’s face-desired object- and the red standing for the name of the competition symbolizes the spotlights of the party.
The flag of the Earth is represented next to the logo of the NF-Board.
